What is Follow-to-Download?

Follow-to-Download is a feature that lets you gate a free download behind a follow action. When someone wants to download your free product, they're prompted to follow your page first. After they follow, the download unlocks.

This is useful for building a follower base on SoundPage and staying connected with people who are interested in your work.

How to set it up

1. Go to Dashboard > Products and open a product you want to offer as a free download
2. Set the price to $0
3. Toggle on Require Follow to Download
4. Save your changes

The product will now prompt visitors to follow your page before the download button activates.

What counts as a follow?

A follow is when someone creates or logs into a SoundPage account and follows your profile. Followers can see your new releases and updates in their feed.

Can I use this on paid products?

No. Follow-to-Download only works on products priced at $0. Paid products go through the standard checkout flow.

Where do I see my followers?

Go to Dashboard > Audience to see your follower list and total count.
