An exclusive license gives the buyer sole rights to a beat. Once you sell a beat exclusively, no one else can buy it. To activate this, click Products in the left navigation menu and then select the beat that you want to edit. Licenses are established on the bottom left portion of this page.

How exclusive licensing works at SoundPage

• You create an exclusive license tier on the beat (see Creating license tiers) and set its price.
• When a buyer purchases the exclusive, that sale is recorded as the beat's exclusive sale.
• The beat is then no longer available for others to license.

Tips

• Price exclusives to reflect that you're giving up all future sales of that beat, it's usually your highest tier by a wide margin.
• Keep your terms clear about what transfers with an exclusive (and what, if anything, you retain).
• Decide your strategy up front: some producers sell unlimited non-exclusive leases and an exclusive; others reserve certain beats as exclusive-only.
